Taking place after humanity's battle with the Machine Men, a peace treaty has been given between humans and Machine Men. Captain Zero had lost his family in the war, leaving him in charge of a ship in an Earth fleet that works in secret with the Machine Men. Zero's ship and crew are given the task of capturing Captain Harlock. But in his struggles to capture the space pirate, Zero finds that the peace between man and machines is not at all what it seems.
